You will complete three cultural group projects in this course. Each project is worth 5% of your final grade, for a total of 15%.
For each project, you will work with a group to create a podcast on a cultural topic related to Spanish in the United States. Your instructor will give you detailed instructions for each project in class.
The course calendar lists the dates when you will work on the projects in class. Please plan ahead so you do not miss class on these days.
If you cannot complete a group project on the due dates because of a justified reason, you may complete the project individually. You need to contact your teacher as soon as possible to discuss alternatives.
Valid reasons to submit your project individually and after the due date include illness, and death or serious illness in the immediate family. If you are sick, let your teacher know via email as soon as possible. You should NOT provide medical documentation as proof of short-term illness to justify a late submission.
If you are a student athlete, in the national guard, or are submitting your project individually and after the due date because of a UW mandatory academic activity, you need to provide your teacher with proper documentation.
Your work schedule is not a valid reason to submit your project individually and after the due date.
Personal trips or vacations are not a valid reason to submit your project individually and after the due date.
