VERY IMPORTANT: All exams, moderated discussions, and compositions will be completed in all sections of the course on the dates established in this calendar. Your teacher will provide you with a more detailed calendar including also classroom activities and homework.

VERY IMPORTANT: Exam make-ups will be given only in case of properly documented, excused absences and must be arranged with the instructor before the date of the exam. Work and family vacations are not an excuse for missing an exam. Make sure to check the calendar on this page before making any travel arrangements.

VERY IMPORTANT: Compositions will not be accepted after the due date.

VERY IMPORTANT: There are absolutely no make-ups for the collaborative tasks. If you are not in class on the date scheduled for a task, you will receive a zero grade in that particular task.

VERY IMPORTANT: The oral exam may take place outside the class. You will arrange the date, time, and location with your instructor. If you miss your appointment you will receive a zero.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you are a student athlete, in the national guard, or are missing class because of a UW mandatory academic activity, you need to provide your instructor with proper documentation indicating the dates you will be missing class. Alternative arrangements can be made for written and oral exams and due dates for compositions, but not for collaborative tasks. These arrangements need to be made before the date of the exam or the composition deadline.
