It's that time of year again...The UW Combined Fund Drive October 16 - November 29!
Administrator David Miles is again leading Spanish & Portuguese Studies as the department coordinator for the UW Combined Fund Drive, taking place from October 16 through November 29. The Combined Fund Drive (CFD) is the state's workplace giving campaign which provides faculty and staff the opportunity to give to their favorite charities through payroll deduction or a one-time gift. The drive supports local and global organizations in their work to improve lives and communities, and there are more than 3,800 approved charities that are currently part of the Combined Fund Drive campaign.
This year's featured charity is the Northwest Burn Foundation whose mission is to prevent burns and to improve the quality of life for burn injury survivors through programs, education and research.
"Last fall just over twenty percent of Spanish & Portuguese Studies faculty and staff pledged, and we increased our dollars given by more than a third. There's still lots of room for more giving and lots of worthwhile charities to give to this year," says Miles. SPS has a history of donating generously, and we hope you will be inspired to join us in contributing to this important cause.
¡Muchas gracias!
