Spanish 134 - Exams

There are 6 in-class written exams, two exams in each part of the course (see calendar):

  • Part I: Exam 1 will cover Chapters 1, 2, and 3 and will count as 9% of the final course grade. Exam 2 will cover Chapters 4 and 5 and will count for 6% of the final grade.
  • Part II: Exam 3 will cover Chapters 6, and 7 and will count for 6% of the final grade. Exam 4 will cover Chapters 8, 9, and 10 and will count for 9% of the final course grade.
  • Part III: Exam 5 will cover Chapters 11, 12, and 13 and will count for 9% of the final course grade. Exam 6 will cover Chapters 14 and 15 and will count for 6% of the final course grade.

These exams will reflect the activities done in and out of class. They will focus primarily on the content of the chapters listed above, but, since language learning is cumulative, they may also include material from previous chapters. You are responsible for all previously learned material.

VERY IMPORTANT: All exams must be taken at their scheduled times. Make-ups will be given only in case of properly documented, excused absences and must be arranged with the instructor before the date of the exam.

VERY IMPORTANT: Work and family vacations are not an excuse for missing an exam. Make sure to check the course calendar before making any travel arrangements.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you are a student athlete, you need to provide your instructor with proper documentation indicating the dates you will be missing class.

VERY IMPORTANT: Exams will not be returned to students. You will have an opportunity to review your exam in class before returning it to your teacher who will file it for the rest of the quarter. If you have questions about your grade you need to consult with your teacher outside of class, during office hours.
