Alumnus Brent Carbajal has been appointed to a two-year term as vice president and provost for Academic Affairs at Western Washington University. Carbajal received his MA in Romance Languages and Literature from UW in 1986, and obtained his PhD in the same field in 1993. Carbajal is currently serving as dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and has been at Western since 1997. Read the full article here.
